Doctor Doom made an unexpected appearance at the Avengers: Doomsday wrap party, where a hologram of the villain danced to electronic music as cast and crew looked on. The celebration, hosted by Marvel Studios in mid-September 2025, marked the official completion of filming for the upcoming blockbuster.

Action designer Micah Karns shared the clip on Instagram Stories, and the footage quickly spread across social media platforms. On X (formerly Twitter), @drdoomarchive posted, “They had a dancing doom hologram at the avengers doomsday wrap party HELLO is this how he’ll be distracting the avengers.”

The party followed a five-month shoot that began in April 2025 and spanned multiple locations, including Pinewood Studios in the U.K. and the deserts of Bahrain. Avengers: Doomsday enters post-production with more than a year left until release, scheduled for December 18, 2026. Reports state that additional cast members will film scenes in the upcoming months, with reshoots also planned.

Doctor Doom’s presence at the wrap party adds to a series of teases surrounding the character. Earlier in September, promotional displays at the Walt Disney Marketing Expo included Doom in a laser show and large-scale artwork, giving fans a first look at his MCU design. Crew wrap gifts also featured classic Jack Kirby Doom art, further signaling Marvel’s focus on the villain.

The film is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, with a screenplay by Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron. The cast includes Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Letitia Wright as Shuri / Black Panther, and Chris Hemsworth as Thor. X-Men actors Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Kelsey Grammer, and Alan Cumming also reprise their roles. Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach join as the Fantastic Four.

As Avengers: Doomsday moves forward, rumors persist about potential appearances from Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Brie Larson. Speculation also surrounds Chris Evans, who may return in an undisclosed role.
