It has been a rather turbulent past few weeks for the Washington Capitals. While their star player, Alex Ovechkin, broke Wayne Gretzky’s record and the team made it to the Stanley Cup Playoffs, there are also some injury concerns in the team. Earlier today, a major update dropped in this regard as their star defenseman, Martin Fehervary, is set to miss the remainder of the season due to another injury setback. Naturally, Capitals fans were not taking it well.

A few games back, Fehervary twisted his ankle playing against the New York Islanders. Further, it was revealed that yesterday, he underwent a surgical procedure to repair his meniscus and will miss the rest of the playoffs. This came out of nowhere for the Capitals fans, who were shocked to hear this. One of the fans expressed his sadness over Fehervary missing the remaining games, saying, “That’s brutal but AA was looking solid last night. Hopefully he takes the chance and proves himself.” The fan talked about Alexander Alexeyev, who played a key role in the Capitals’ 2-3 win over the Canadiens in Game 1 of the playoffs.

Another section of the fans wished Fehervary a speedy recovery. A fan wrote, “Get better soon,” as he hoped that the Capitals’ key defenseman could be back in action soon.

This is a developing story…
