War Room: Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon Weigh in on President Trump’s Ban on Leftist Media Outlets from the White House – (VIDEO)

Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon discussed President Trump’s ban on numerous leftist news outlets from having access to the White House press room.

President Trump made an announcement on Friday on a Truth Social post explaining his reasons for banning these particular news outlets, including CNN, MSNOW, and Politico.

The video opens with news clips from outlets including CNN and MSNOW showing their journalists expressing dissent over President Trump’s recent decision.

Bannon explained that during the Civil War, President Lincoln actually shut down printing presses that were going against his policies.

“Historically, you’ve had Presidents do much, much more than President Trump,” Bannon said.

“President Trump, they just, they hit his trip wire on the constant assault of fake news,” Bannon continued.

“Every time they say falsely that the economy is in trouble, that the tariffs are creating inflation. This and that and the other thing, that weighs heavily on sentiment and becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy,” Navarro said.

“They want that to happen. They want a bad economy going into the election,” Navarro continued.

“These people are treasonous. I mean, this is like, oh the war is going bad. Whatever you feel about the war, you don’t say stuff that is going to be repeated instantaneously by the Iranian media,” Navarro said.

“This is a media that functions on fake anonymous sources that propagate things that often are just crazy stuff, and they just do it over and over and over again. There is nobody trustworthy here,” Navarro continued.

“The whole cable financial news sector watching covering the Fed. They missed the story. There is nobody pushing back, nobody in the financial news press against a rate hike, when there is a perfect case to be made for it,” Navarro explained.

Navarro was also critical of the Fox News network.

“What too many people don’t know is you get the same damn problem with Fox News,” Navarro said.

“There is nobody who wants Trump to lose and for us to lose the House and the Senate more than Karl Rove,” Navarro said.
