In both J.R.R. Tolkien's Legendarium and Peter Jackson's legendary adaptation of The Lord of the Rings, there are few villains as unsettling as the Nazgûl. The Nine mortal men who received Rings of Power during Middle-earth's Second Age and became Ringwraiths, the Nazgûl are involved in some of the most epic sequences of Jackson's film trilogy, maiming Frodo (Elijah Wood) with a Morgul-knife on Weathertop before their lord is climactically defeated by Éowyn (Miranda Otto) during the Battle of the Pelennor Fields.
