Vin Diesel & Robert Downey Jr. Bring Marvel Movie Back to Theaters With a Doomsday Preview Today

An iconic Marvel movie, led by Robert Downey Jr., Vin Diesel, Chris Evans, and more, is back in theaters today with a Doomsday preview. The superhero epic is helmed by directors Joe Russo and Anthony Russo.

Avengers Endgame: Encore marks the return of 2019’s blockbuster MCU movie. It hits theaters with an exclusive look at what fans can expect from the upcoming epic Avengers: Doomsday.

Avengers Endgame: Encore’s official synopsis reads, “Adrift in space with no food or water, Tony Stark sends a message to Pepper Potts as his oxygen supply starts to dwindle. Meanwhile, the remaining Avengers — Thor, Black Widow, Captain America and Bruce Banner — must figure out a way to bring back their vanquished allies for an epic showdown with Thanos — the evil demigod who decimated the planet and the universe.”

What to expect from the Avengers Endgame: Encore release

The movie features extra footage, a new post-credits scene, and an exclusive preview of Avengers: Doomsday. The additional footage’s duration is 4 minutes, thus increasing the runtime of the original movie to 3 hours and 5 minutes.

Besides bonus scenes for Endgame, fans will get to watch exclusive scenes from the highly anticipated Doomsday to understand how the two movies are directly connected.

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo previously confirmed that watching Endgame: Encore before Doomsday is mandatory for MCU fans. Joe Russo said, “If you see the movie in theaters, you’re going to see some new footage that, uh, that illustrates that connection for you.”

Endgame: Encore’s massive cast also features Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Professor Hulk, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Brie Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, and Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye.

Other key cast members include Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Josh Brolin as Thanos, Zoe Saldaña as Gamora, and more.
