
Shudder has shared the full trailer for V/H/S/Halloween, the newest entry to the long-time horror anthology franchise. Following its world premiere at Fantastic Fest, the movie will start streaming on October 3, 2025.
“A collection of Halloween-themed videotapes unleashes a series of twisted, blood-soaked tales, turning trick-or-treat into a struggle for survival,” reads the official synopsis.

What happens in Shudder’s V/H/S/Halloween trailer?
The video teases what to expect from the latest installment’s Halloween-themed stories. These include: A group of teenagers whose fun night of trick-or-treating turns into a nightmare, taste trial participants facing life-threatening side effects from a new diet soda, a malevolent spirit kidnapping children from their homes during Halloween, and a massacre survivor returning to the original crime scene. The trailer highlights some of the movie’s terrifying sequences from the newest sequel’s six short horror segments.
The six segments included in V/H/S/Halloween are Diet Phantasm, directed by Bryan M. Ferguson; Fun Size, directed by Casper Kelly; Home Haunt, directed by Micheline Pitt-Norman and R.H. Norman; Kidprint, directed by Alex Ross Perry; Ut Supra Sic Infra, directed by Paco Plaza; and Coochie Coochie Coo, directed by Anna Zlokovic.
The newest installment is produced by Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, Derek Dauchy, Josh Goldbloom, Michael Schreiber, and Brad Miska, with composer Nick Chuba providing the music. The horror franchise first started in 2012. Since then, it has featured up-and-coming directors helming short horror films in a VHS style. Notable directors who have contributed to the franchise include Adam Wingard, Ti West, The Radio Silence team, Timo Tjahjanto, and Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead.
