University of Virginia police issue alert for 'active attacker' with a gun

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WSET) — The University of Virginia has issued an emergency alert for an "active attacker with a gun." According to a Facebook post shared by the University of Virginia Police Department, the attacker was reported in the area of Shannon Library, 160 McCormick Road.
