Amid the rumours that Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) is leaving Emmerdale, his exit storyline appears to have started.

It was confirmed in a recent episode of the ITV soap that Vinny was driving the car that Jimmy King (Nick Miles) swerved prior to him crashing into Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) and Dawn Taylor’s (Olivia Bromley) marquee.

The crash led to Jimmy and Dawn’s deaths. Currently, the only two people who know Vinny’s secret are Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) and Kev Barton (Chris Coghill).

However, we know that Vinny will confess to Joe and Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) soon. This will definitely increase his chances of going to prison, but what if Vinny leaves the village and goes on the run?

He won’t be able to create this plan by himself – which is where his best friend Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) could come in.

Best pals Kammy and Vinny faced a hurdle fairly early on in their friendship, as Vinny tried to kiss Kammy.

At that point, we didn’t know a lot about Kammy, meaning the risk of him telling Vinny’s fiancé Gabby was high. Fortunately, Kammy showed us all what a loyal person he is by keeping the incident a secret, vowing to support Vinny as he tried to work out what it meant and how it made him feel.

Earlier this year, we discovered that Kammy was homeless. He was sleeping in a barn on Emmerdale Farm, and he eventually exposed his secret to Vinny and Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) after being accused of starting the barn fires.

Kammy then shared more information about the life he used to live prior to coming to the village, and why he no longer speaks to his family. He explained that after the death of his dad, him and his sister would often steal cars.

While Kammy didn’t get caught, he took the fall for his sister after she got into an accident. Kammy very nearly faced some pretty severe police consequences, but the court ended up being lenient because his dad had just died.

On top of this, and the fact he was literally introduced to us as a ‘dangerous bad boy’, we also know that Kammy has a few er, questionable contacts, let’s say.

Around the time Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) were searching for more information on Celia and Ray (Jaye Griffiths and Joe Absolom) to free Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb), Kammy used his own criminal background and street contacts to help track down the unit full of extra evidence.

When Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) remembered the digits of Ray’s hidden number plate, the Dingles weren’t able to track it down themselves. Kammy stepped in and used his dodgy connections to trace the vehicle’s movements. With help from those in the underground network, Kammy shared with Aaron and Robert that the plate was linked to the lock-up in Hotten.

Given they are best friends, Kammy’s bound to discover Vinny’s secret soon, and he will no doubt do everything he can to prevent his best mate from going to prison.
