Mafia 4 Multiplayer

It seems Hangar 13 and 2k are not quite done creating stories within their fan-favorite Mafia series. It has been recently claimed that the developer has been approved to create another entry in its long-running action-adventure video game series.

Mafia: The Old Country actor claims Hangar 13 is approved for a sequel

In a recent livestream from Twitch streamer Bubbly Nuggets (around the 01:08:30 mark), actor Cariana Conti (Isabella in Mafia: The Old Country) said that a new Mafia project has been greenlit. Where in the development cycle this new entry is in is unknown, but as Mafia: The Old Country was released less than two months ago, we probably won’t see what Hangar 13 has cooking for a bit.

It is also not known if this new project will be a sequel to Mafia: The Old Country, a remake of a previously released entry, or an all-new standalone chapter in the series. If it is a remake, the most likely candidate would be Mafia 2. Although it received the “Definitive Edition” title for newer consoles, it was a remaster of the original. However, the Definitive Edition of the first Mafia game was a full remake.

When Mafia: The Old Country was released last month, reviews were a bit mixed. According to the review aggregate site Metacritic, it garnered an average score of 74 across 80 critic reviews.

Mafia: The Old Country is available now for PS5 on the PS Store for $49.99. The Deluxe Edition is $59.99 and includes the base game, Padrino Pack, Gatto Nero Pack, Soundtrack, and Digital Artbook. Both the Padrino and Gatto Nero packs include special weapons, cosmetic items, and charms to outfit the game’s protagonist, Enzo. The game is PS5 Pro Enhanced, so owners of the improved console will get some extra performance features, like support for Variable Refresh Rate and 120Hz displays.
