UK, France and Germany call for diplomatic resolution to Iran-Israel tensions

The leaders of the United Kingdom, France and Germany spoke this morning following Israel’s attack on Iran overnight, according to a spokesperson from the British Prime Minister’s Office. “The leaders discussed the long-held grave concerns about Iran’s nuclear program, and called on all sides to refrain from further escalation that could further destabilize the region,” the statement said. “The leaders reaffirmed Israel’s right to self-defense, and agreed that a diplomatic resolution, rather than military action, was the way forward,” it added.
