Netflix has announced a May 14th premiere date for “Nemesis,” the new crime drama from Courtney A. Kemp, the creator of “Power”. The series sets out to subvert the heist genre combined with life-or-death stakes.

Y’lan Noel and Matthew Law star as two men on opposite sides of the law — an expert criminal and the detective determined to stop him. Cleopatra Coleman, Tre Hale, Domenick Lombardozzi, Jonnie Park, and Ariana Guerra also star and all eight episodes will debut on that date. [Source: Netflix]

Amazon Prime Video has renewed its Aldis Hodge-led series “Cross” for a third season that will again consist of eight episodes. The order comes through as the second season finale airs tonight.

The series reached No. 1 on Prime Video in more than 100 countries and ranked in the Top 10 of all original series during the week of its Season 2 premiere, per Nielsen. [Source: Amazon]

Lord of the Flies
Netflix has announced a May 4th premiere date in the U.S. and certain other territories for the British mini-series “Lord of the Flies” based on the famed William Golding novel. The four-episode series follows a group of English schoolboys who become desert island castaways and a violent power struggle emerges. [Source: Netflix]

Final Fantasy: Black Mages Legacy
The animated series “Final Fantasy: Black Mages Legacy,” based on the world of the video game “Final Fantasy IX,” will reportedly have a ten-episode first season with each episode clocking in at 22 minutes each. Tomb Raider
Filming continues in Surrey in the UK on Prime Video’s live-action “Tomb Raider” series, and a video clip from the set showing off star Sophie Turner as Lara Croft in a gun fight has gone online.

Wearing a version of Lara’s infiltrator costume from the games, the character is seen in the pouring rain of a forest, blasting away with her signature twin pistols.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge created the series and showruns with Chad Hodge.
