Furthermore, the president and the White House have repeatedly alleged that Judge Boasberg is attempting to obstruct the president’s ability to deport criminals. This is misleading, Geoff, as the president has the authority to deport individuals classified as criminals under existing immigration laws. Judge Boasberg’s role is merely to determine whether the president’s application of the Alien Enemies provision is legally valid.
