Some trains between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport are cancelled this morning due to a broken rail.

National Rail is warning the Elizabeth line, Great Western Railway (GWR) and Heathrow Express services are all affected by the disruption, which is expected to last through the day.

Elizabeth line services between Shenfield and Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 5, as well as between Abbey Wood and Heathrow Terminal 4, Maidenhead and Reading may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

The problem is also impacting GWR trains to and from Paddington and Heathrow Express journeys between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 5.

On the roads, there are expected to be severe delays on the M45 through rush hour until nearly 11am.

A vehicle fire has closed the M45 westbound between the junctions with the M1 and the A45 near Coventry.
