A BODY has been found in the search for a mum who disappeared in the early hours of the morning.
Jane Burton was reported missing from Leigh at around 2am on November 12, sparking a hunt by Greater Manchester Police (GMP).
Emergency services were believed to have been seen around Pennington Flash and a nearby wooded area throughout the afternoon, Manchester Evening News reports.
Police helicopters and ambulances were also deployed to the scene, it is understood.
Concerned members of the public also helped in the search for Jane.
But those searches have now been paused after a body was discovered on Tuesday afternoon.
Cops are yet to confirm the identity of the body.
The Sun has contacted Greater Manchester Police for comment.
