Tommy Dorfman and her wife, Elise Williams, are reportedly ending their marriage. The 33-year-old actress and Williams were married for over two years. Reports claim the 13 Reasons Why star has filed for divorce in New York City.

TV star Tommy Dorfman, who eloped with her wife, Elise Williams, in 2023, is getting separated from her. Dorfman and Williams met on Hinge in 2021. The duo had apparently gotten engaged within two months of dating (via PEOPLE).

In a 2024 Vogue essay, Dorfman had swooned over her blossoming love story with her wife, who has no social media presence. The Love in the Time of Corona star detailed why the duo decided to elope rather than have a formal wedding.

The Love, Victor actress gushed, “We decided that, at some point down the line, we would just elope. Elise never aspired to be a bride in the traditional sense.” She added, “I happily obliged. Our love had formed and grown in a contained bubble, so why couldn’t our marriage be on the same terms?”

This also meant that they had no specific wedding attire. Dorfman revealed that their wedding dresses were very Taylor Swift’s “Folklore-coded.” Despite the unconventional wedding, Dorfman said that she wanted to make the marriage “meaningful” in their own way.

In the essay, the 13 Reasons Why star also talked about the duo’s hasty engagement and a year-long wait before they moved in together. The actress admitted, “That’s the thing about falling in love, though; your responsibility barometer isn’t always where it should be. Love, for us, required that nauseating combination of naivete, delusion, and fate.”

Since 2024, Dorfman has not publicly addressed any issues with her wife. However, a December Instagram post of the star revealed her “heartbreak.” Amidst a carousel of snaps, Dorfman mentioned that one picture includes a moment of her heartbreak.

The actress who came out as a trans woman in 2021 wrote, “Heartbreak feels good in a place like this (i wrote this entirely original line).” In the particular image, Dorfman posed from a bathtub with bubbles all over her chest.
