Though it's been one of the biggest questions about the future of thefranchise since Boston Blue'sdebut, Tom Selleck's return to the world of Blue Bloodsmay not be as far off as it once seemed. After 14 seasons on the air, Blue Bloods came to a close at the end of 2024 despite the cast having hoped for more of the CBS series. Selleck, the veteran actor who played family patriarch and NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan throughout the show's run, was open about the fact that the show's end didn't sit well with him, especially after the announcement that the franchise would continue with Donnie Wahlberg's Danny Reagan relocating to Boston for a spinoff series.
