Hot off the Days of Thunder 2 announcement, Tom Cruise is bringing one of his most slept-on recent hits to a new streamer this September. The movie in question was released theatrically in 2017, at a time when Cruise's Mission: Impossible franchise hadn't hit the pinnacle of Mission: Impossible — Fallout, and he was attempting to launch a new franchise for himself withJack Reacher. The movie was directed by Doug Liman, with whom Cruise had worked on Edge of Tomorrowa few years prior. By 2017, Edge of Tomorrow had found a cult following at home and was drawing calls for a sequel. Cruise and Liman were also planning an ambitious new project potentially shot in outer space.
