Paramount Pictures has pulled out ahead of the competition and now has a book-to-screen adaptation on the way. The Hollywood Reporter reveals that the company has acquired the rights to Rebecca Ross’ fantasy romance novel, Divine Rivals. Should the title perform well, there’s plenty more where that came from, as the book is the first in the author’s beloved Letters of Enchantment series. As with most popular things in 2025, Divine Rivals enjoyed a catapult to the top of pop-culture thanks to BookTok, where readers spread the word and helped generate extra eyes on the title.
