Tinlicker's Third Album is a Soul-Stirring Journey Through Conflicting Emotions

8 months ago 22

The wait for Tinlicker's latest album is finally over after the Dutch duo finally delivered their third LP, Cold Enough For Snow.

Cold Enough For Snow dives into the complexity of inner turmoil, weaving threads of love, loneliness, acceptance and yearning. Through soul-stirring melodies and beautifully written vocal features, Tinlicker and their collaborators do an excellent job of tapping into those conflicting emotions.

The stunning album features a star-studded cast of collaborators, including Julia Church, Nathan Nicholson, Circa Waves, Tom Smith, CLOVES, Brian Molko and Metropole Orkest. While the percussion and harmonies drum up plenty of emotion themselves, the vocalists add layers upon layers of depth to help convey the messages burrowed deep within.

The album begins with "Glasshouse," one of two songs to feature Church, whose haunting vocals explore a dream about someone she loves. Uplifting melodies are mixed into the subtle beat, creating a hopeful soundscape that blends each element effortlessly. "Who I'm Not" embarks on a similar path, featuring CLOVES' enchanting vocals.

Since debuting in 2012, Tinlicker have remained a powerhouse duo in the global electronic music scene, especially within the Anjunabeats family. Cold Enough For Snow is a remarkable exploration of their sound. With a European and North American tour on the horizon, they have a big year ahead.
