Tim Burton’s gothic fairytale has found a new streaming home in time for Halloween marathons. Edward Scissorhands (1990), one of the director’s most beloved works and a film often described as his “Beauty and the Beast,” will begin streaming on HBO Max on October 1. Both tender and haunting, Burton’s story of an unfinished creation who struggles to find acceptance in suburbia has endured as one of his most striking and emotional achievements.
