But then Allen pops up, laughs, and points them to the right stage — the set of his current sitcom, Shifting Gears. What seemed like just a funny behind-the-scenes prank turned out to be the real deal: the three will officially guest star in the Shifting Gears Season 2 premiere on October 1. Richardson, Karn, and Dunning will play a role in the new season’s first episode, though ABC isn’t saying who they’re playing yet.
