Thunderbolts* is set to enter its third weekend in theaters, and despite mostly positive reviews, the film has tapered off at the box office quicker than expected. At the time of writing, Thunderbolts* has grossed $134 million domestically and $143 million internationally for a worldwide total of $277 million. This $134 million in the U.S. is enough to push Thunderbolts* past Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, the critically panned 2007 superhero sequel starring Chris Evans. Evans played The Human Torch before he took on the role of Captain America in the MCU. Thunderbolts* also zoomed past 1978’s Superman and 2003’s Hulk. The film will look to hit $150 million domestically and internationally, and also cross $300 million globally this weekend.
