‘Thunderbolts*’ Races Past Disastrous $200 Million Superhero Bomb at Global Box Office

After two weeks of release in theaters worldwide, Thunderbolts* has cemented itself among the 100 highest-grossing superhero movies ever made. The generally well-liked film has been delivering a solid performance at the box office, aided no doubt by the fact that it's facing little competition. But 15 days was all that it needed to overtake the lifetime global haul of the DC Extended Universe's The Flash. Touted as the movie that would rescue the doomed franchise, The Flash opened amid controversy surrounding its star, Ezra Miller, and performed poorly at the box office.
