‘Thunderbolts*’ Out-Grosses Jared Leto’s Superhero Misfire at Global Box Office in Just 5 Days

After overtaking the lifetime domestic haul of Jared Leto's horribly-received superhero film Morbius in its opening weekend of release alone, Marvel's Thunderbolts* has surpassed it globally as well. Thunderbolts* was released theatrically this past weekend, drawing a healthy $74 million in its domestic debut. This put the movie above Morbius' lifetime domestic haul. It has now passed the poorly received Spider-Man spin-off at the global box office as well. Directed by Daniel Espinosa, Morbius debuted in 2022, and received poor reviews upon release.
