The Oklahoma City Thunder are heading to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2016.
Canadian Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the MVP front-runner, led the way with 35 points as the Thunder blasted the visiting Denver Nuggets 125-93 in Game 7 of their second-round series on Sunday.
The Thunder will face the Timberwolves in the West Finals, with Game 1 Tuesday in OKC.
The Thunder, the top team in the NBA this season, outscored the Nuggets 39-20 in the second quarter to erase a five-point deficit. Denver never threatened the rest of the way.
More to come.
