A POPULAR This Morning star has revealed she delayed her wedding plans to her fiance after “overthinking” following the birth of her first child.

Sian Welby — who welcomed daughter Ruby with radio producer fiance Jake Beckett last June — has opened up about motherhood and her hectic schedule.

The busy presenter – who also hosts Capital Breakfast every day – has revealed plans for her big day have been put on hold, because she is so busy.

Sian is juggling work and being mum to 11-month-old daughter Ruby.

Sian and Jake have been engaged for two years, after he popped the question during a romantic holiday.

But she has revealed she just doesn’t have the “brain capacity” to plan her wedding right now.

Speaking to the Mirror, she said: “You sort of get in a weird loophole of going, ‘So when will we do it?’

“A bit like anything in life, the more you overthink it, there’s no good time to do any of this.”

Continuing she said: “Once I maybe get into a new rhythm, then I will have the brain capacity for wedding planning.

“But at the minute, my brain is at full capacity. So something has to sort of go out before I can think of something new.

“I have to just take it one day at a time.”

OPENING UP

Earlier this year, Sian revealed she only took three months off following the birth of her baby as she feared for her job.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun on Sunday, she said: “I worried I would be off for a month and they would decide someone else is better and then they would replace me.

“Those are the dark thoughts you have.

“It’s probably what put me off earlier in my life even thinking about having kids, because I thought, ‘How could I?’.

“I think most women in the TV industry will admit you get a bit nervous about having time off to have a baby, especially if you have just worked your whole life to get where you are, which I have.

“I took three months in the end, which wasn’t very long, but for me that is the longest I’ve ever been off work and I fully embraced it.”

BECOMING A STAR

Nottingham-born Sian was working at High Street fashion store New Look when she began auditioning for TV jobs.

In 2010, she landed her big break as the Channel 5 weather presenter after she was spotted in a telly advert.

She has since jetted round the world hosting Channel 5’s Formula E: Street Racers show about electric car racing in 2017, as well as Goodwood’s Speed Week for ITV alongside Dermot.

Sian is also a social media star whose comedy weather forecasts racked up 10million views.
