Any popular sitcom that has run for more than a few seasons will invariably have a few bad episodes, and Friendsis no exception. Even if it was arguably the most popular comedy series of the 1990s, the series weathered significant backlash to specific episodes, many of which fans have chosen to skip when they rewatch the entire show from the beginning. Some of the episodes of Friends that are perceived as “the worst” can be somewhat forgiven through modern context; outdated storytelling methods, dated references, changing social norms, and issues with broadcast standards created some awkward moments, even if the episodes were intended to be in good spirit. However, Friends has never had an episode that is as unwatchable and uncomfortable as “The One With Christmas In Tulsa.”
