Well slasher fans, we’ve almost made it to the finish line. In just over one month, the continuation of the Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr.-led franchise will arrive when I Know What You Did Last Summer slices and dices its way into theaters. Many of us have been eagerly awaiting the release of filmmaker Jennifer Kaytin Robinson’s fresh chapter in the story that seemed to bow out more than two decades ago, and soon, we’ll have it. But, what about beyond that? Could there be more to come or will this be the end for the film series that first dug its hook into audiences back in 1997? While we won’t know for sure until after the movie does its thing at the box office, some recent comments from Hewitt make it sound like this very well may be her and Prinze Jr.’s final foray into the horror universe.
