Can you guess which Bollywood film - that had released 17 years ago - but failed to impress the audience? The film performed poorly at the box office and was unable to recover its production cost. The film starred Salman Khan in the main role along with Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor, Zayed Khan, Mithun Chakraborty, Boman Irani, and Anjan Srivastava in pivotal roles. The film was directed by veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai who is known for delivering classics like Pardes, Khalnayak, Hero, Karma, and Ram Lakhan. Salman's film could not grab the attention of the audiences due to its weak storyline and Bhaijaan's stardom could not prevent the film from sinking at the box office. This film was considered Salman Khan's biggest flop film in 2008. This film managed to put a huge dent in Salman Khan's career and the filmmaker also lost crores of rupees after its release.

Yuvvraaj film was initially rejected by eight top Bollywood stars. Yes, you read that right! Director Subhash Ghai originally had imagined Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khan in lead roles. But, Aamir and Shah Rukh Khan both rejected the offer. Later, the director approached Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, but they also declined. Post this, he offered the film to Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, and Abhishek Bachchan. But, none of them agreed to do the film.

Finally, the film was made with Salman, Anil, and Zayed in lead roles. As the film was released on the big screens, it received mixed reviews from critics. The film was reportedly made on a budget of Rs 48 crore, but managed to earn Rs 31.22 crore at the box office. The film was declared a commercial failure. Subhash Ghai wanted to cast Aamir for Salman Khan's role, Shah Rukh Khan for Anil Kapoor's role, and Salman Khan for Zayed Khan's role in the film.
