While The Beatles were at the peak of their creativity in 1968, that was also the point where their personal relationships started to deteriorate. The year before, they had lost their manager and close friend, Brian Epstein, and their legendary trip to India, though greatly productive, had not succeeded in bringing them closer. That was also the year that Yoko Ono entered the picture, and her presence in the recording sessions of their eponymous album only fueled the tension. While they were all struggling in different ways, things were especially tough for Ringo Starr, who was feeling left out of the process. And one day, he reached the breaking point.
