The original Witcher book series, written by Andrzej Sapkowski, are some of the most beloved fantasy novels ever written, but like many big franchises that have been adapted into live-action, it hasn’t been without its controversies. Most fans would agree that The Witcher game series, particularly The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, have drawn widespread universal acclaim, but it’s been a different story for the Netflix show that aired back in 2019. Former Superman actor Henry Cavill starred as Geralt of Rivia for the first three seasons of The Witcher on Netflix before being recast with Liam Hemsworth for the final two seasons.
