When it comes to Wheel of Fortune, most people can agree that the long-term hosts Pat Sajakand Vanna White often come to mind. Pat first became host of the Merv Griffin show in 1981 when he replaced Chuck Woolery. He fell into his role quickly and became almost instantly known for his calm demeanor, dry wit, and engaging presence. About a year later in 1982, Vanna joined Wheel of Fortune alongside Pat as the co-host and puzzle board tuner.
