Longtime fans of The Rookie were thrown a gigantic curveball in the show's Season 8 finale. Tim Bradford (Eric Winter) finally proposed to Lucy Chen (Melissa O'Neil). She said yes, and all seemed right with the world — until the two were kidnapped by assailants working for the criminal Heath Everett (Jeffrey Vincent Parise), leaving viewers on a gut-punching cliffhanger. Unfortunately, viewers won’t find out what happens to Tim and Lucy until the show returns for its ninth season in 2027! The good news is that the show will kick off Season 9 with an exciting new storyline, marking a major change in the Chenford dynamic.
