The Life of Chuck Teaser Trailer: Tom Hiddleston Stars in Mike Flanagan’s Stephen King Movie

The first teaser trailer for The Life of Chuck has been released.

The Life of Chuck is a new science-fiction drama film that is directed by Mike Flanagan. Releasing in United States theaters this coming June, the film is based on a novella written by Stephen King that was published in 2020.

What happens in The Life of Chuck teaser trailer?

The Life of Chuck teaser trailer features some footage of Tom Hiddleston, who plays the titular Charles “Chuck” Krantz in the movie. Chuck’s life is explored in three different chapters throughout the course of the story, while actors such as Matthew Lillard, Nick Offerman, Mark Hamill, and more also star in the film.

The Life of Chuck had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in September 2024. It received positive reviews from critics and won the People’s Choice Award, which is often considered to be a precursor to future awards and potential Oscar nominations.

Neon acquired the North American distribution rights for The Life of Chuck a little less than a month after the movie premiered at TIFF.

The cast of The Life of Chuck also includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Annalise Basso, Benjamin Park, Karen Gillan, Mia Sara, Carl Lumbly, Samantha Sloyan, Harvey Guillén, Jacob Tremblay, and Kate Siegel. 

Flanagan previously directed two King adaptations before: Gerald’s Game, which was released on Netflix in 2017, and Doctor Sleep, the sequel to The Shining starring Ewan McGregor that hit theaters in 2019. Flanagan’s filmography also includes 2013’s Oculus, 2016’s Hush, and 2016’s Ouija: Origin of Evil; although, he’s perhaps best known for his plethora Netflix horror series, including 2018’s The Haunting of Hill House, 2020’s The Haunting of Bly Manor, 2021’s Midnight Mass, 2022’s The Midnight Club, and 2023’s The Fall of the House of Usher.

The Life of Chuck will be released in United States theaters on June 6, 2025, from Neon.
