The Helldivers Movie Needs To Keep The Games’ Satire To Succeed

The Helldiversvideo game franchise already gives a movie adaptation almost everything it needs for a massive blockbuster. A Helldivers squad can drop from orbit in Hellpods, unload on a swarm of Terminids, call down an Eagle airstrike, and accidentally wipe out half the team because somebody threw the stratagem beacon a little too close. Seconds later, another Helldiver drops into the same disaster while everyone is still shouting about liberty and democracy. That kind of chaos already feels built for the big screen.
