Taylor Sheridan might be best known as the mastermind behind Yellowstone, but it turns out the Dutton drama wasn’t even the first TV script he wrote. That honor goes to Mayor of Kingstown, the Jeremy Renner show on Paramount+ that became one of the streamer's biggest hits: “The first thing I ever wrote was the pilot episode of Mayor of Kingstown,” Sheridan revealed in a recent sit-down with director Peter Berg for Gold Derby,adding that by 7 a.m. the next morning, the script was finished.
