Boseman's passing leaves behind a career that feels like it was only getting started, and it turns out that he could have been part of a sequel to one of the most influential crime films of all time. What many may not know is that screenwriter Brian Helgeland and director Curtis Hanson were working on pitching a sequel to their smash hitL.A. Confidential. In addition to having Guy Pearceand Russell Crowe reprise their roles as Ed Exley and Bud White, the L.A. Confidential sequel would also feature a major role for Boseman. Yet, for reasons too wild to believe, it never came to pass.
