"The Cure Is Worse Than The Disease": What's Wrong With President Snow In Sunrise On The Reaping?

Warning: There are spoilers ahead for Sunrise on the Reaping.Sunrise on the Reaping features the first meeting between Haymitch Abernathy and President Coriolanus Snow, which sees the leader of Panem ill and vomiting in the Heavensee mansion. Set 40 years after The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and 24 years before The Hunger Games, President Snow has been in power for decades by the time of the second Quarter Quell. He and Plutarch Heavensbee are among the numerous returning Hunger Games characters in the novel. Despite Plutarch's true loyalties, he must maintain the facade of being loyal to President Snow, and arranges for him to meet with Haymitch.
