Apple TV+'s newest adaptation of The Buccaneershas already impressed in its first outing, and here's what we know about the second season. Based on the eponymous Edith Wharton novel which was published posthumously, the story follows a group of American women during the 1870s who travel to England in order to secure wealthy husbands. Intentionally anachronistic and playful, The Buccaneers used Wharton's novel as a framework for yet another period dramedy. The clash of cultures takes center stage, and it offers commentary on the repressive elements of contemporary culture.
