The New Zealand murder mystery series The Brokenwood Mysterieshas already enjoyed a 10-season run on the air thus far, and it's returning for season 11 soon. Debuting in 2014 on Sky Open in its native New Zealand, The Brokenwood Mysteries concerns Detective Inspector Mike Shepherd (Neill Rea) who travels from bustling Auckland to the sleepy hamlet of Brokenwood to investigate a murder case. Finding he likes his new environs enough to take a demotion, Shepherd stays on in Brokenwood and partners with a local cop named Detective Kristin Sims (Fern Sutherland) to crack various cases.
