Weeks into its home video run, the blockbuster film F1 is continuing its miraculous performance in theaters. The movie probably won't pass any more global milestones, having already made more than $600 million at the box office, but it's still overtaking past hits on the all-time charts. The most recent movie to have been beaten by F1 is Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ — the highest-grossing faith-based movie of all time. Released in 2004, the film was about as controversial as it was commercially successful. F1 couldn't be more different; the most controversial thing about it was perhaps star Brad Pitt's hairstyle.
