The Bestselling Books of the Week, According to All the Lists

Remember how we’ve been saying that the lists can’t seem to agree with one another? The trend continues, with The Let Them Theory continuing to top all the lists except The New York Times. Once again, there are no titles appearing on all five lists, not even Sunrise on the Reaping. The book doesn’t make an appearance at all this week, likely due to the reporting window being a week behind. More than likely, it will dominate next week—but who knows!

We do have a few newcomers this week, including the latest from John Green and The Pumpkin Spice Café author Laurie Gilmore. And if you just asked yourself, “But Book Riot, does this list continue to lack diversity on many levels?” The answer is yes, including being disproportionately by white authors. Some Indie Bestsellers you should know about are The Buffalo Hunter Hunter by Stephen Graham Jones and The Dream Hotel by Laila Lalami.

To get these numbers, we look at the USA Today overall top 10; Publishers Weekly overall top 10; The New York Times top 10, both Combined Print & E-Book Fiction and Combined Print & E-Book Nonfiction lists; Amazon Charts top 10, both Fiction and Nonfiction; and Indie Bestsellers top 10, Fiction and Nonfiction, both Paperback and Hardcover. New additions to the list this week are bolded.
