‘The Amateur’ Races Jason Statham’s 49% Rotten Tomatoes Action Film to $100 Million at Global Box Office

While Final Destination Bloodlines dominated the box office chatter this weekend with an exemplary performance, 20th Century Studios’ The Amateur continued to provide textbook counter-programming. The movie’s workmanlike performance across the last month or so has yielded $40 million at the domestic box office and nearly $100 million worldwide. Not too many films these days are able to hit such numbers; case in point, the recent Jason Statham action vehicle A Working Man, which seems to have ended its run with just under $100 million globally.
