'The Accountant 2' Passes Another Box Office Milestone, But Still Can't Beat the Original

Having completed two weeks of release, Amazon MGM's The Accountant 2is slowly making its way towards the coveted $100 million mark at the worldwide box office. The action-thriller has virtually no shot at overtaking its predecessor, The Accountant, which concluded its run with over $150 million globally almost a decade ago. But things aren't as black and white as they might seem; more on that in a minute. As things stand, The Accountant 2 is yet to recover its reported budget theatrically, but has overtaken several of star Ben Affleck's past films.
