When Tomorrow Burns by Tae Keller“Another unforgettable novel from one of my favorite authors. I loved Nomi, Arthur, and Vi. I have a prophecy that readers will love them, too.”—Erin Entrada Kelly |
That Which Feeds Us: A Hawaiian Gothic by Keala Kendall“With incisive prose that brings the plantation-turned-luxury-resort of Kōpa`a alive in all its excess and fruit-spoil, Kendall offers a striking Hawaiian gothic that is as terrifying as it is emotionally resonant. A deeply intimate tale of belonging, sisterhood and intergenerational trauma bookended by larger inquiries of colonialism exploitation—That Which Feeds Us bites with real teeth and is sure to leave its mark.” —Jihyun Yun |
The Fight of Our Lives: AIDS in America by David Levithan and Gabriel Duckels“I was a pre-teen during the AIDS Crisis. I watched my neighbors and family members disappear, first at the hands of judgement, then at the hands of the illness—a double death—and I wish I would’ve had this book to help me understand what was happening, so that I might better know how to fight and love.” —Jason Reynolds |
Shook by Julian Randall“Readers, make permanent room on your shelves—and in your hearts—for this witty and poignant novel.” —Elizabeth Acevedo |
