The 100was a show that was never shy about killing off characters, and its best death is what fully invested me in the CW series — but it also set the stage for its later issues. From the very beginning, The 100 proved that no one was safe on the ground (or even on the Ark, for that matter). The deaths of characters like Wells and Charlotte sent a clear message early in season 1: don't get too attached. Even so, those deaths happened so quickly that Wells and Charlotte never got the chance to become truly pivotal characters.
