Hitmen and assassins make very entertaining movies. Their stories often focus on elaborate assassinations and the preparations that go into them, and audiences love them because they show a different, darker side of the world. Over the years, filmmakers have taken the basic concept in wildly different directions, creating everything from stylish action spectacles and tense thrillers to dark comedies and slow-burning character studies.
