As one of the most important characters in the Star Warsfranchise, Princess Leia Organa has always had more stories to tell, even as new characters and narratives have come into the picture. From Leia's introduction as the leader of the Rebel Alliance to her eventual transformation into a general, Leia's journey has long been central to the Skywalker Saga, and has established her as one of the most foundational characters in the franchise overall. Some of the most interesting parts of her character, however, have been developed outside the Star Wars films, venturing off into different works exploring the saga.
