Fans have been excitedly waiting for Thamma, the fifth instalment in Maddock's horror-comedy universe, since the success of Stree 2. Thamma is a romantic comedy horror film directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, written by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew and Arun Falara and produced jointly by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik. It stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal. The makers have recently created a buzz among the fans with the release of the Thamma trailer.

Thamma Trailer

The Thamma trailer shows Alok (Ayushmann Khurrana) transforming into a vampire. He struggles to balance his goals and love life with Tadak (Rashmika Mandanna). He was seen jumping from building to building in the trailer. He fights a thousand-year-old vampire (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) and his father (Paresh Rawal), who thinks his son is a "shaitaan" after seeing his vampire teeth.

Fans' reaction to the trailer

However, the trailer fell short of expectations and has been dubbed as "underwhelming" by the internet. Several fans expressed their disappointment over the trailer's poor VFX and bad storyline.

One person wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Disappointed #Thamma trailer is big letdown. Not a single scare throughout, instead it's filled with lame jokes and forced meme comedy. The VFX looks weak, the story feels missing, and the whole vibe falls flat."
