Editor's Note: The following contains spoilers for Marshals Season 2, Episode 2.For the majority of Marshals' first season, Pete "Cal" Calvin (Logan Marshall-Green) spent most nights at the Bullet N' Barrel Saloon trying to get the attention of his daughter, Madison (Morgan Lindholm). With Season 2 now underway, it seems that the pair have made real progress at trying to patch up their father-daughter relationship, even in the wake of Maddie's new love affair with Cal's underling Miles (Tatanka Means). But this week's episode, "End of Watch," puts all that in jeopardy when Cal forces Miles to lie to his daughter about his recently exposed cancer diagnosis — and it's a mistake that feels like retreading the same ground as last season.
